Esenyurt is one of the districts of the Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul. In 2008, it was combined with the district of Kıraç.
The entire Esenyurt settlement is located within the borders of Istanbul Metropolitan area in the Thrace sub-region of the Marmara region. To the east of this region is Küçükçekmece Lake, Büyükçekmece to the west, Hoşdere neighborhood and TEM Road to the north, Firuzköy and E-5 Highway to the south.
In the district, there are 13 health centers, 1 state hospital, 1 red-light hospital (red-light hospital became a state hospital additional building) and 1,000,000 M² city park. Security in the district passed to police as of 1 June 2009. The Police Department building is prepared.
The area of Esenyurt is 2,770 hectares and in 1989 it became a municipality. With the establishment of the municipal organization, a service project has been launched in the region.
